Oh Well
Written by: Peter Green

Lyrics:
I can't help about the shape I'm in

I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

Oh well

Now, when I talked to God I knew he'd understand
He said, "Stick by my side and I'll be your guiding hand
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to"

Oh well

Documentation

This song was written by Peter Green of Fleetwood Mac. It was recorded in 1969 and released on their album Then Play On, which marked the band's transition from blues band to rock band. Peter Green left Fleetwood Mac in 1970 after never fully recovering from a drink spiked with LSD.
The stop and start technique inspired Led Zeppelin to do the same thing on "Black Dog."

Aerosmith has covered this song in concert and also The Black Crowes when they toured with Jimmy Page.

Rick has performed part of this song several times during the "fan portion" of EFX (where he practically lays on top of "the fan". Most of the time he just performs the first verse.
