Some Day I Will Fly

Written by Rick Springfield

Someday I will fly

Again I start
How long before my heart gets it right?

I was content just to run (all I'd done)
From the age of consent (so young) so dumb

But as I grew older
And life took its toll
I read what's written in my soul so long ago

Someday I will fly

Let everything go

Won't tilt at windmills in the sky

Time stand still, someday I will fly

My cynical mind
Made me all but blind to you, yeah yeah
Thought I was innocent (through all) through all I'd done (all I'd done)
The years had all been spent (so young) so numb
But my heart was yearning for a rock to cling onto
I didn't realize I was losing you
It came to me

Someday I will fly

Let everything go

Won't tilt at windmills in the sky, rejoice and glorify

And never have to say goodbye

When time stands still, someday I will fly

I will fly

(Someday I will fly)
