Rhythm
of Love
(Springfield/Vallance)
This is the story, two hearts in
the lost and found
Same story, boy meets girl
One night of passion and they woke to a strange new sound
Felt like the heartbeat of the world
It was the
Rhythm of love, rhythm of love
Rhythm of love, rhythm of love
You take a chance when you dance with the rhythm of love
A few years later, their love wears a different face
they haven't felt that passion in so long
He's too busy working, she's tired of her garters and lace
They get scared they wonder what went wrong
It's just the
Rhythm of Love, rhythm of love
Rhythm of love
All you can do is hold on tight
and light up the rhythm of love
hold on yea, hold on yea
hold on tight
it's just the rhythm of love
hold on yea, hold on tight
wait for the change in the rhythm of love
Your love is working, sometimes it's more oyster than pearl
They've both given up, trying to get free
They know there is no perfect love in a perfect world
It's just the way it's gotta be
It's just the
Rhythm of Love, rhythm of love
Rhythm of love, rhythm of love
They hold on tight and they ride out the rhythm of love
Rhythm of Love
Rhythm of Love, rhythm of love
Rhythm of love, rhythm of love
Change is gonna come it's the rhythm of love
hold on yea, hold on yea
hold on tight
it's the rhythm of love
hold on yea, hold on tight
Change is gonna come
It's the rhythm of love
hold on yea, hold on yea
hold on tight
it's the rhythm of love
hold on yea, hold on tight
wait for the change
it's the rhythm of love
hold on yea, hold on yea
hold on tight
it's the rhythm of love
hold on yea, hold on tight
change is gonna come
it's the rhythm of love

Jim Vallance says: In January and February 1990 Rick was in Vancouver shooting a
film (Dead Reckoning). He called me out of the blue, suggesting we get together. Over the period of a week or two -- whenever Rick could get away from the film set -- we managed to complete three
songs (this one, The White Room, and Stand Up For Love)
I really enjoyed Rick. He's smart, funny, and a very talented singer, musician and songwriter.
