Feelings
(words and music by Brian Cadd & Don Mudie)

Hey Alright
She's doing just what she should
Hey Alright
She's bringing you down real good
She's bringing you feelings you could never feel before
She's bringing you feelings you could never feel before
She's bringing you feelings, feelings, feelings

Hey Alright
You're finding it hard to wait
Hey Alright
You fear you'll be too late
You fear your feelings will be too hard to bear
You fear your feelings will be too hard to bear

She's bringing you feelings, feelings, feelings
She's bringing you feelings, feelings, feelings

Hey Alright
You finally made the grade
Hey Alright
You know the game's been played

She's bringing you feelings you could never feel before
Feelings you could never feel before
She's bringing you feelings, feelings, feelings, feelings, feelings (repeat)

The beat and hand clapping of this one seem to start out pretty good…and even the first and second verse has a groovy, catchy feel to it. I like the guitars I hear in the background and the few short solos, which have a classic rock sound to them. The actual lyrics themselves are far from deep and meaningful. Too bad Rick wasn't involved in the writing of this song. They really needed that man from the get-go! Even though the verses don't say a whole lot, I do like how they sound, and the cool beat going on behind them. BUT….the chorus is another story. The way his voice sounds as he says "feelings…feelings" really REALLY grates on me. Even some of Rick's songs that have a lot of repetition, such as "A Stranger in the House," which gets on my nerves sometimes, does not irk me nearly as much as the chorus here. If we could leave the chorus out, it might be an even groovier song than what it is. J I am listening to this "old" tune now as I write this review. This is the second time I've gave it a listen. The first time I heard it, I was very turned off by it. So that goes to show that some songs really need a second chance. I think if I'd reviewed it on the first listen, I'd have a lot more negative things to say about it. This one definitely fits the time in which it was recorded. And truthfully, I'm glad to know Rick DIDN'T write this song! It is just "okay" for me. - Kelley Pearson

This song fits very well in it's time period - it just seems to remind me of that era. But I don't get the lyrics at all ... by the end I'm really tired of hearing the word 'feelings'. The meaning of the song and exactly what the feelings are seem to be pretty well buried in this song. However the guitar, bass and drums have a cool vibe. If I could strip out the vocals my impressions would improve greatly! But alas, ick! - Jen H.

When I heard the opening bars, I thought of another song I had heard before but I can't quite place my finger on it. I don't like this song and wasn't surprised to see that Rick didn't write it. Thank God! This would surely be in competition with "Annie Goodbody" for Rick's worst songwriting foray. The lyrics are awful and the chorus is annoying, Feelings, Feelings, Feelings.......The vocal is equally annoying. I'm assuming this was Darryl Cotton. He sang this song like someone forced him don't like this song! -  Elizabeth S.
