Noah: You gonna invite me in?
Patrick: Yeah. Yeah, of course. Uh, come in. I'm
sorry. I just -- I didn't expect to see you.
Noah: Well, your wife just died, son. Where else
would I be?

Noah: Hi.
Patrick: Uh, two sugars,
black.
Noah: You didn't have to do that.
Patrick: I'm sure it's been a while since you had a good cup of coffee.
Noah: [Chuckles] Doctors without borders has a lot going for it. Good food and
drink are not very high on the list.
[Cups clink]
Patrick: Please. So, where you been?
Noah:
Bouncing back and forth between Somalia and the Sudan.
Patrick: Wow. I'm sure they're happy to have you.
Noah: It took some time for me to get Matt's message about Robin, you know? I'm
so sorry I couldn't be here for the funeral.
Patrick: That's okay. It's probably better you weren't. It turned out to be a
fiasco.
Noah: Why? What happened?
Patrick: Robin's cousin Maxie -- she had a meltdown. She's convinced that she
caused the gas leak that led to the explosion.
Noah: What? Is that
even possible?
Patrick: I have no idea. I-I can't
wrap my head around it.
Noah: Wow. Were Robin's
parents able to make it to the service?
Patrick:
Her dad had somewhere to be, but... Anna was there.
Noah: How is, uh
-- how is Anna?
Patrick: She's grieving. She's
furious.
Noah: Well, sometimes getting mad at God is a way to deal
with the pain.
Patrick: I'm not sure what her
relationship is with God, but she's furious at me for cheating on Robin. She has
every right to be.
