According to US This episode opens on a boys' soccer game. A father is watching his son play. He is talking to another man and telling him he does not intend to go to jail, he wants to watch his son grow up. He asks, "Did you find the girl?" The man replies, "No, she is on the run." His cell rings. He answers, then tells the father, "She's been spotted at the airport." The father calls this man Simon, and sends his bodyguard with him to "take care of the girl." |

After the commercial Mick, Joey and Cassie have stopped at a fruit stand with the motor home. Mick calls Gordon again, tells him; "If they find us again, I'm going to stop calling you." Gordon tells them they have 3 days to get Cassie back to Sydney. They're now driving, and proceed to get pulled over by a motorcycle cop. Cassie is nervous and hides in the back. The cop tells Mick & Joey to get out of the vehicle. Cassie looks out the back window and sees the same guys that have been following them. She yells, "He's not a cop!" Mick does some Tae Kwon Do moves, kicks the gun out of the fake cop's hand while Joey jumps back into the motor home. Joey & Cassie drive off, and Mick starts running after them. (man his legs look long here) The guys follow in their car, and as Joey pulls Mick up on top of the motor home they start shooting at them. Mick & Joey manage to throw a tarp onto the car's windshield and lose them once again. Mick realizes something is "up" with Cassie. He tells Joey to look in her purse. They find a badge and see she is a cop, and her real name is Megan Kelly. She is a decoy. She explains that Cassie is still in the safe house in Sydney. Mick and Joey are fuming, she tries to calm them down by explaining that the goal was accomplished, Landis' men are miles away from Cassie. Joey has had enough. Mick says they should stay and continue the decoy to put Landis away. Joey says he's tired of being shot at and starts to walk away. The next scene has Joey still walking down the road, but now Mick & Megan are in different clothes (sob, the white shirt is gone) and have ditched the motor home. They have an SUV with surfboards hanging out the back. They pull up to Joey and tell him, "lets go surfing" Someone in the tall grass is watching them at the beach. Joey & Megan are walking back to the car (still in the same clothes - was the tide out or something??) when the man comes out, knocks Joey on the head, takes Megan and drives away. Before he drives away though, he turns and shoots the bodyguard. Mick runs up, shakes Joey. Now, Mick is still wearing his jeans & Hawaiian shirt. Where in the heck was he?? He calls Gordon. Mick & Gordon are now referring to Megan as Meegan. (with a long e). Whatever. Anyway, Gordon explains that Simon, Landis' lawyer has her and his trying to make a deal with the special prosecutor for immunity. Simon doesn't know she's the fake Cassie. Good thing Gordon is a continent away and can keep Mick and Joey informed of what's happening in front of them. Mick & Joey go to the soccer game to talk to Landis. Mick explains to Landis what has happened, and that Simon has a decoy - not the real Cassie. They need to know where Simon has taken her. The next scene shows Simon on the phone with the prosecutor, and he hears sirens. He freaks out, hangs up the phone and goes to shoot Megan. Mick & Joey save her (of course). The last scene has Mick & Joey coming out of the surf. Mick says that Meegan called, the real Cassie testified and Simon has disappeared. Mick then says to Joey, "Shouldn't you be taking your drivers test again?" Two girls in bikinis walk up. They say they'll take Joey wherever he wants to go. Joey walks off with them with a grin. Mick yells, "Typical!" This was a very predictable episode in my opinion, however I give it 4 waves due to the wardrobe improvement. :-) - Michelle P. |

This episode takes place in Sydney Australia. David Soul guest stars as Brian Landis, a major crime figure. The opening scene takes place between
Landis and his lawyer discussing trying to bring down a girl who is going to testify against him. I prefer when the opening is Mick and Joey (or at least Mick), but I guess this was necessary for the set up. We learn early on that Joey has let his license expire and so he had to take the drivers test and failed. He memorized one of the tests, not realizing there was more than one test, so he answered all the questions wrong. Mick convinces Joey that he needs to study because he'll need his license in order to buy beer. |

We have another of the High Tide shows where the guys are on a mission to `save the girl.' Gordon gets the brothers in a tangled up mess searching for a girl who's `escaped' from a safe house down in Australia. Her name is Cassie Jones and she has some crucial information on a criminal. The 1st Mick and Joey scene starts out with Joey lounging on the beach, oblivious to the 'hot babes' who are wandering around. Turns out, Joey is pouting. Mick runs up in his wetsuit with surfboard in hand and tells Joey he's missing the best sets of the day. He then realizes Joey failed his driving test. He taunts him a bit---"what's the matter?" in a funny, teasing tone. He reminded me of a kid on the playground with the way he said it! LOL He ends up telling Joey, "come on. I'll buy you a burrito. Maybe it'll make your brain work better," then he smiles and laughs one of those classic Rick laughs. The guys `run up' on Fritz, but are aware Gordon must be involved if they're seeing her on the beach. Mick continues to tease Joey about his lack of a drivers license…with that same adorable laugh. Fritz has a case for the guys involving Cassie Jones. She is supposed to testify against a big time criminal in Oz, that is if Gordon can keep her alive long enough. Mick knows of the girl through an old friend---Cassie's brother Vincent. Gordon needs the brothers to locate Cassie and take her to the Oz police. The temptation is too much for the men. It's a surfers paradise on the Australian Gold Coast…their starting location. Mick also likes the appeal of bringing down Brian Landis. Brian Landis is trying to stay out of prison. He's a major Australian crime king who controls a huge drug ring, illegal gambling and hookers. Landis plays dirty and has pinned things on some cops and supposedly killed a cop Mick used to know. Gordon and Mick speak by phone and Gordon tells him he is working on a safe house for the Barrett brothers and Cassie (for when they find her). I thought the scene following the phone call was really comical. The guys know that some dudes followed them to the beachfront because they saw the same men at the airport. They casually walk over to a sidewalk juggler and pay him off to cause a distraction. The guys stroll over to the table where the `bad guys' are sitting and inform them that they are getting ready to leave now because they need to go find Cassie! The man says, "what are you? Wise guys??" They look at each other, grinning and nodding, "yeah!" The juggler gets in the way so the brothers can escape. I thought that was bold and arrogant, but funny! Mick looks amazing in the club scene wearing black jeans and a long-sleeved white button up shirt. Joey is still harping over his drivers exam and is toting a drivers book. They see the `thugs' actually DID find them and have followed them to the club. Turns out that Cassie is there at the club just as they thought. She's quite the firecracker, fighting off the brothers as they capture her. She calls the guys (Mick and Joey) who've come to rescue her---"Laurel and Hardy." LOL The thugs begin shooting at the 3 of them and the chase begins. Brian is furious to learn from his thugs that Cassie got away again. Mick calls from the beach (where they just trekked 4 miles through the sand!) to let Gordon know they found Cassie. Gordon sends them off to another location where they can lay low until they lose the trail of Brian's men. Mick tells Joey and Cassie there is another 12 miles of sand before they reach their resting spot. I thought it was cute how Cassie was such a rebel about the whole ordeal. She, Joey and Mick are walking and arguing through miles and miles of beach sand. She is quite ungrateful about their efforts. By the time they reach the house, it's sunrise. Cassie is very upset because the place is a farm, complete with cows and farm animals. She tells Mick, "I grew up on a crummy farm. I'm not staying here." She continues to fuss! Mick goes on up to look over the house and Cassie says to Joey, "why do I get the feeling I've just walked into Beavis and Butthead's twilight zone?" LOL That was cute! {I tell ya…if I were rescued by two hot guys like Mick and Joey, I really don't think I'd be putting up such a fight! } She finally relents and goes inside. She even apologizes to Joey for her behavior and admits she's just `tired and scared.' Mick looks adorable lying back on the couch talking to Cassie, hands propping up his head, smiling that gorgeous smile…Wow, the camera loves Rick! Oh yeah….so anyway, Cassie looks at Mick here and says, "you were pretty sure about yourself last night. How did you know I'd follow you?" He tells Cassie, "your brother used to say you were stubborn as a mule. But smart. You had no place else to go." She says that he always did have a big mouth! |

Gordon calls later to tell Mick that they are in danger at the farmhouse. The 3 look out the window and see some men pulling up in car. There has been a leak. Gordon says to Mick, "if you do get out of there…" Mick says, "IF?" (in a high-pitched voice) LOL Gordon tells them there is a motor home waiting for them IF they get out alive. The man outside is loading a bazooka. I love the scene where Mick says, "Gordon…we gotta go. Goodbye!" and he takes off running like mad out the back door, (in a slow-mo fashion) with Joey and Cassie right behind him. They leap through the air just as the house explodes and the 3 tumble down the embankment to safety. As always…just in the nick of time! The `sitting ducks' are cruising in the motor home when a cop on a motorcycle pulls them over. Of course, the `cop' was not really a cop at all…but the bad guys who were after them. I don't know why, but I love watching Rick run! Cassie jumps in the drivers seat and takes off. The guys have to run and jump on the vehicle while it's moving. They end up on top of the motor home, getting shot at the whole time. They end up throwing a tarp onto the windshield of the car with the men in it, causing them to veer off the road. The guys do some laughing and cheering at their success, giving one another the `high five.' They find a garage to hide in and Mick suddenly grabs Cassie's purse and makes Joey go through it. It turns out that Cassie is not who she is supposed to be, just as Mick suspected. She is really a cop. I got a kick out Mick's anger as he confronts `Cassie' about her identity. Mick and Joey have been used as decoys. "Cassie" has a cell phone in her purse that she's been using to call the special prosecutor with, telling them exactly what their location was with each step. It was all a ploy to lead the men as far away from the real Cassie as possible. Joey is furious! He tells the two that he's going to find some surfing. He takes out walking alone. Mick and Cassie come along in a little SUV that has surfboards strapped to the top. They finally talk Joey into hopping in the car with them. They had rented the car with surfboards included. Strange! Anyhow…they do end up going to the coast to surf for a bit, at Joey's request. The men have followed them to the beach and they whack Joey over the head and abduct "Cassie." (Real name: Meghan) Mick finds Joey lying on the sand, along with one of the men. The bad guy shot one of his `own' and left him on the beach for dead. The guys call Gordon and get some info. Then they head out and find Landis who is hanging at the soccer field watching his son's game. He wants to know where Cassie Jones is at. It appears that Landis' `friend' Simon is the one who shot the man (Landis' man) at the beach and abducted the woman who he *thought* was Cassie because he's afraid of going to prison with Landis. Mick asks Landis to help them find the girl…the cop. He points them in the right direction. They take off to what looks like an abandoned warehouse. Meghan is tied up inside and the men begin shooting at Mick and Joey. A fight begins and of COURSE our talented Barrett brothers kick butt on the bad guys. Don't they always come out on top??! LOL AND they rescued the girl again. The final scene has Mick and Joey in their surfing outfits…toting their boards. Mick tells Joey that he spoke with Meghan and she told him that the real Cassie had spent the last 3 days in front of the grand jury. But Brian Landis and his son have left Australia and vanished on fake passports. Mick tells Joey that Landis has millions in a Swiss bank account…and that he only "sort of" got away. The drivers test issue comes back up in conversation. Joey says he needs more study time. Mick can't understand why, since Joey has been buried in that darn book for days, that is until the two `beach babes' walk up to them. They tell Mick that they are helping Joey "study" for his exam and that until he gets his license renewed they will drive him wherever he needs to go! LOL Pretty slick isn't he? The scene ends with Joey walking off arm in arm with the two girls and Mick laughing and smiling saying, "Typical!" - Kelley Pearson |
