According to US

This is the first episode of Season 3. Man, I can't wait to get to this season! Once again a bit of a re-vamped starting, Rick's hair is still in the short range, and the wardrobe is even better!

This one opens not on the beach (a shocker right there!) but in a restaurant parking lot. Two men are fighting, after one sees another talking to a waitress at the restaurant. The dark haired man tells the blonde, "I told you to leave her alone!" as he proceeds to beat him up. The woman yells at the dark haired man, "Trevor" as police sirens are heard. The police get out of their car, and Trevor tells them the other man started the fight. He is now unconscious on the pavement.

Mick & Joey are exiting the bank. They have sold their Surf Shop. (Hence the title Starting Over I guess.) Mick is sad, whereas Joey is excited about the new car he has bought with his funds.

We see Trevor at the "Shape Up Gym". He is approached by a man in a suit, we learn that his name is Jay Cassidy and is his bail bondsman. He is trying to get Trevor to court. While they are talking Jay's phone rings, and he is informed the man from the fight has now died from a brain hemorrhage. The District Attorney has now re-filed charges against Trevor for manslaughter. Trevor freaks out and jumps into Jay's car and takes off.

Mick & Joey are on the beach waxing their surfboards. Mick looks absolutely fabulous here...they should just keep him on the beach in this wetsuit the whole damn season. Especially when he's wearing the wet suit as he is now, with the top unzipped and down around his waist. Yum! I had to rewind to catch the dialogue, the view was that great. Also, I was distracted by the sight of the hawk tattoo. I distinctly remember way back when this series was airing that I first noticed Rick's tattoo in the Goodbye Mr. Chip episode which airs later in Season 3. I was beating myself up for yet one more time I wasn't very observant. Back to the dialogue - Joey is trying to talk Mick into starting a private P.I. firm. Mick is not having any of it. Joey asks him what felt better, "Helping people out or selling t-shirts & surfboards?" Mick's phone rings and it's Jay. They reminisce a bit about being on the police force together in the past. Jay tells Mick he is now into Real Estate and Bail Bonds. He asks Mick for his help on the bail bonds part of his business. Mick is hesitant until Jay offers him $10,000 to find Trevor. Mick agrees.

Trevor goes to his father, tells him about the death and that he jumped bail. His Dad tries to convince him to go back and turn himself in as he knows a judge. He tells Trevor he doesn't want to lose him like he lost his brother. Trevor blows up at that comment, telling his father, "It wasn't my fault." He runs off. Trevor shows up at the restaurant where the fight took place. He threatens Wendy the manager and then hits her across the face. She agrees to tell the police that he was fighting in self-defense.

Mick & Joey show up at Jay's offices. Mick is wearing a black & white shirt with dark sunglasses...another Yum moment. Mick asks Jay how he ended up in Real Estate and Bail Bonds and Jay explains that he was doing the Real Estate and then clients started offering him properties for bail money so he combined both businesses. He tells Mick & Joey that he is sending them over to a former client's beach house to stay while they are in town. She is an "old" widow of a former Senator and won't mind helping him out. Her name is Grace Warner.

Mick & Joey drive over to the beach house, which is huge. They see a woman gardening. They ask her if the "old-er" woman owner is around. She tells them she knows Jay sent them and shows them to the guest house. She informs them that there are house rules: no music, no smoking, and no guests after 10 pm. She also reminds them that this is a temporary arrangement.

Mick & Joey go to the restaurant. Wendy won't talk to Mick. She is wearing sunglasses. He sees her black eye when she turns her head and knows Trevor hit her. She insists she walked into a door. She tells him that Mr. Prince, Trevor's father owns the restaurant and she doesn't want to lose her job. She then implies to Mick that he should follow a certain waitress home and maybe he'll see her roommate. Mick takes the hint and tells Joey the plan. When Denise the waitress leaves the restaurant, they follow her. She is in a ground floor apartment so Mick goes to the back while Joey knocks on the door. She recognizes them from the restaurant and tells Trevor (who is there) who is at the door. He runs out the back while she answers. Mick cuts him off and they scuffle. Joey comes running around from the front and Trevor manages to pull out a gun. He threatens to kill Mick, but runs away saying, "Next time you're dead."

Mick & Joey go to the bail bonds office. Jay sees Mick's black eye and cannot believe Trevor has gotten so out of hand. Jay apologizes to Joey that "it's not going to work out" and Mick realizes that Joey asked Jay to call him. Joey admits that he wanted to get Mick back into "this" to convince him to open that P.I. firm.

The next scene shows Mick in a red shirt, checking out the gun in his hand. He walks out of the guest house to find Joey and runs into Grace. He apologizes for mistaking her for the gardener. Mick & Joey go to see Mr. Prince. (Mick's black eye is now gone...) Mick notices a file on the table labeled "Revenge". They talk Mr. Prince into telling them where Trevor is hiding. He sends them to a construction site. Mick & Joey arrive there and check out the trailer, which is full of paint cans. They realize Mr. Prince lied to them. Some men with guns show up and tell them to leave. They manage to get away from the men and go talk to Grace. She agrees to dish some dirt about the Prince family to them. (every time they've showed this woman in this episode she is wearing less and less clothes. She started with jeans, long sleeved shirt & hat, then she lost the hat and went to shorter sleeves. She is now getting out of her pool so all she is wearing is a one piece suit)

Trevor goes to his father for money. Mr. Prince tells him he is on his way to pay off the judge and to go to their condo in Mexico until this all blows over. Meanwhile, Grace is telling the brothers that the Prince family has property in Mexico. Trevor's older brother died in a plane crash 4 years earlier, so he wouldn't go by plane to get there. She says the Prince family is into sailing as well. Mick deduces that "Revenge" stood for the name of their boat. Mick & Joey go to the marina. Trevor sees them coming and runs down the dock. He jumps into a speed boat about to launch that has a woman aboard. He pushes her away from the wheel and Mick jumps aboard. They fight in the boat as the woman tries to steer. Mick knocks Trevor out of the boat, then takes his gun out and tells him his father's money will not save him now.

Mick & Joey are shown receiving their paychecks. Joey asks Mick if he is still mad at him. Mick agrees to try the P.I. business with him. Grace shows up to where they are eating and tells them they can continue to stay in her guest house, on one condition. They both look at her quizzically. She says, "You have to let me help you with those wardrobes!" (reviewer is ROTFLMAO) They both sputter, "What's wrong with our clothes?!!?" She tells them they are in a high class area of Santa Barbara now, and must dress appropriately and that "clothes make the man." (amen sister!) She then tells them she is meeting "Cindy" for lunch and her chauffer signals her. They figure out it's Cindy Crawford and struggle to get a closer look. She pushes them back and tells them, "You're not meeting Cindy dressed like that!"

*There was a lot of set-up in this episode, obviously. Not much action and a pretty thin storyline -but I have high hopes for future shows. * - Michelle  P.
